Sorry, I may have a 98 average, but I am only in 8th grade. I can solve equations that are a little more simple, though.

find the discrimination and put it 0.

that is, (-3b)^2 – 4(4b+1) = 0

9b^2-16b-4=0

solve it you will get b=2 or b=-2/9

discrimination>0 two real roots; discrimiation=0 repeated root; discrimination<0 no real root. Can you remember?
