Geometry proofs!!PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!homeschool homework?

Given: In triangle ABC, Angle B = 120 degrees.

Prove: Angle A, SIGN( = but with a slash through it?) 60 degrees.

Plan: Use indirect proof.

NOTE: Write the proof using the paragraph method

if angle B= 120 degrees then angle A must 30 degrees. because a triangle can only have a 180 degrees in it then 120 are already accounted for then that leaves us 60 degrees and 2 angles so that means the other angles equal 30 degrees. the sign your talking about is a not equal to sign.

I don’t quite know what an indirect proof is but the clues you need are those you got in the above answer. However you don’t know the exact measure of angle A. You do know it is not 60 degrees because, since the angles inside a triangle add up to 180 degrees and angle B is 120, then that only leaves 60 degrees for the remaining two angles. So angles A and C together are 60 degrees.

btw – It is possible to have a zero degree angle (leaving the other 60 degrees for the second angle), but you can’t create any shape with a zero degree angle.

(2x -a million)/(2x + a million) = (3x + 3)/(5x – a million) (2x – a million)(5X – a million) = (3x + 3)(2x + a million) 10x^2 – 7x + a million = 6x^2 + 9x + 3 4x^2 – 16x – 2 = 0 2x^2 – 8x – a million = 0 x = (8 ±?seventy two)/4 = -0.1213 or 4.1213 assorted the two facets by way of (4x – 4) 2(x + 5) = 3x + a million 2x + 10 = 3x + a million 9 = x x = 9
