Thesis: (A one to two sentence statement explaining what you are writing about or what you want to prove)
I. First topic
a. (detail)
b. (detail)
c. (detail)
II. Second topic
a. (detail)
b. (detail)
c. (detail)
III. Third topic
a. (detail)
b. (detail)
c. (detail)
Conclusion: (Restate thesis in new words, and answer any questions you posed at the beginning of your paper…Remember not to put any new information here.)
The topics and details can be explained in short fragments or sentences. If you’re going to use quotes for the paper, you can include those in your outline.
