does anyone know the steps on writing a persuasive/ananlytical essay?
Favorite Answer
1-Identify your main idea or point of view
2-Identify your audience
3-identify the strongest supporting points for your persuasion.
4-Identify the most significant opposing view
How to organize your persuasive essay:
1-Introduction
Your introduction should hook your reader’s attention and provide background information on your topic or controversy.
The paragraph should end with a clear statement of your main idea or point of view.
Body paragraphs
Your body paragraphs should present the points in support of your main idea.
Each body paragraph should focus on one point.
Be sure to provide evidence or examples for each point.
Opposing view
After presenting your supporting points, develop one paragraph to accurately explain and then refute the most significant opposing view.
Conclusion
Creatively restate your main idea and supporting points.
Try to leave your audience even more connected to your topic and persuaded by your main idea or perspective.
Introduction
1. Headline grabber- first sentence grabs the readers attentions. Should be somewhat broad, yet grabbing (not 2 broad)
2. Answers – 3 sentences that will show the reader what the paper will cover. Each sentence represents a paragraph or 2 in the body.
3. Thesis – specific, to the point, and succint. DO NOT GENERALIZE!
Body- meat of your essay. Your intro your skin. your body is everything else
1. 2nd-3rd (Paragraph #2 and/or 3) paragraph – answer your question. This paragraph should have a topic sentence. The rest of the paragraph supports it.
2. 3rd-4th (paragraph #3 and/or 4) – “”
3. 4th -5th “”
Conclusion – makeup on your body
1. do not copy your intro. Does not help
2. Summarize your ideas into an organization like your intro. However, make sure it is not repetitive. This makes your paper look lame.
3. End well. This gives the reader an idea of what he/she just read and will help them remember.
I cannot write the paper for your, but sure hope this helps.
