Does a research paper have to be based on an argument of the subject or can it be a subject and the supporting

facts that you have found in research such as “The sight of color and it’s psychological effects”. …Then give the supporting information.

This is a tough question. I would ask your instructor/professor thier opinion on the matter as the grade comes from him/her. Are you supporting that the psych effects are good or bad for a person? Then the opposing argument would have to be explored. Check out Toulmin’s Argumentative process, really good resource. Also make sure there is some sort of syllogism (see Socrates) that you can support and defend in the paper. Good luck!

Well it would be more like “The psychological effects of color” then you would explain any and all research supporting what color’s affects have on people when they see them and why. You should take a stand either for or against how you feel it effects people, then use research to back up your argument. It is always good to give views by opposing sides and have good solid research to knock down their arguments. That makes yours appear more sound.
