do you do this on math tests?

If it is multiple choice, instead of working on the problem from the beginning, just work on it backwards meaning plug in each answer, and if it is right mark that answer.

it is a long process… there has to be some intuition alongwith basic maths skills… else u will spend too much time trying to find an answer, probably the ‘old fashioned’ method of approaching the problem straight might have worked better!

I have tried a math multiple choice test… but we must still show the solution and find the nearest answer from our solutions… I find it much more hard and have more pressure because during that test my answers cant be found from the choices! waaaaaaaaaaah!

I think that it’s easier to just do the problem because it’s faster. If you work it backwards then you’d have to do more work, then you waste test time.

Yeah, but maybe the normal way is a bit quicker and less confusing? Although some people do it the way you do.
