I don’t know if this is what your teacher is looking for, but here are some ideas:

The Plymouth Colony was formed for the purpose of having religious freedom (the Pilgrims), while the Jamestown Colony was formed by adventurers looking to make a profit in the New World.

The Plymouth Colony was in MA, while Jamestown was in VA.

Plymouth, in spite of adversity, became a successful New World colony, while Jamestown never really made it off the ground.

At Plymouth, the Pilgrims did well living in harmony with their Native American neighbors, while at Jamestown they did not do very well at living peacefully with the Native Americans.

Much of the reason Plymouth did better than Jamestown was because the Pilgrims put their trust in God and were there to establish His Kingdom among themselves in a sacrificial, unselfish manner, while at Jamestown, the mindset was quite selfish. God blesses what is done according to His heart, but He will not bless what is done out of a selfish heart, where His will is not taken into consideration.

Plymouth was colonized by people seeking religious independence, called Puritans, wheras Jamestown was colonized by people whose major reason for leaving England was to seek ecomic fortune.

Plymouth established a government that prevented its inhabitants from straying from the Puritanic way of life, effectively outlawing and punishing everybody who, after living the Puritanic lifestyle long enough, decided that Puritanism was not the lifestyle that they wanted to lead, whereas Jamestown established a government that was purportedly devoted to the Anglican religious lifestyle, but in effect wound up encouraging a lot of religious freedom by protecting those of other or divergent faith.

Plymouth was colder, whereas Jamestown was warmer and more humid, and therefore more prone to harbor diseases.

I’m sure that there were a lot more differences, but those are the big ones that leapt into my mind.

The Plymouth faced the starving time but got help from Squanto a wampanoag Indian and was able to plant seeds and learned how to catch food. Jamestown got their hands on tobacco.
