The domain of ln(x) is (0, infinity).
Therefore the domain of f(x) must satisfy:
-12x – 5 > 0
12x + 5 < 0 12x < -5 x < - 5 / 12. The x-intercept is where f(x) = 0. 4 + ln(-12x - 5) = 0 ln(-12x - 5) = -4 -12x - 5 = e^(-4) -12x = e^(-4) + 5 x = - (e^(-4) + 5) / 12.
