The density of copper is 10.5 g/cm^3. A piece of copper has a mass of 6.13 kg. What is the volume?

If m is mass, v is volume and d is density, then:

m / v = d

v = m / d.

v = (6.13 * 1000) gm / (10.5 gm/cm^3)

= 583.8 cm^3.
