Can you please explain how y=3√x is not a function?
I need help on this function. When I graph it, it is a function but my textbook answer says it’s not. A function is where there are no two or more y values for every x value.

For example, if x = 16 then y = 12 or -12; if x = -1 then there is no values of y.
There are no values of y for x < 0 There are two values of y for all x > 0
