Can you help me with my homework please!!?

The rate at which crickets chirp is a linear function of temperature. They make 40 chirps per minute at 50 degrees F, and they make 100 chirps per minute at 65 degrees F.

The function is C(T)= 4T – 160

The temperature (T) intercept or x-intercept is 40.

What does the Temperature intercept tell you about the real world?

What is a reasonable domain for this function (think about reasonable temperatures for your area)?

Graph this function using this reasonable domain. *** I don’t get how to use a domain to graph it.

Some one please help me!!!!!

The x intercept is where y = 0, or here, chirps = 0, so that’s where the cricket doesn’t chirp any more.

The domain is what goes in for x. So pick the coldest it gets where you live, to the warmest it gets. Here in NY it would be like 0 < x < 100 Then graph the line using a few points from your equation, starting at your lowest and ending at your highest x value

ask your parents or just figure it out yourself. Think about it, you can’t ask us these questions while your taking the test…
