can you help me solve this finite problem?

x – 3y + z = 6

2x – y – 2z = -1

x + y + 2z = 4

Using the Gauss Jordan technique of row operations, obtaining the identity matrix to the left of the vertical augmentation line???

Please notate all of the row operations as performed; indicate the scaling and addition of the row operations being employed as you transit from one matrix to the next.

ps.

the solution is (1, -1, 2)

You have got to be kidding. Those kinds of operations take a lot of time. Put your own matrices on here and I will gladly review and locate any errors if they exist.

You can do this in your TI-83 or 83 plus calculator. Go to Matrix, Edit Matrix, fill in the number or rows and columns, then fill in the entries. Remember which lettered matrix you chose. Then exit out and go back to matrix, then operations, then rref (reduced row echelon form) and it will spit the answer out.
