Can someone show me how to do this problem step by step?

Sean has $564 in his account at the credit union. Each payday he deposits $25 dollars into the account. How many deposits must he make to have more than $850 in his account?

he needs more than 850 in his account, right- so that’s 851… now 851-564= 287 divide that by 25 and you get 7 with a remainder. round up to 8, and there’s your answer

good luck!

in order to get this answer the equation would be

564+ 25n=850 (n= the # of deposits)

850-564= 286 (subtract what you have from what’s

minimum amount needed)

286= 25n (take money still needed and figure out how

many deposits it will make to be over $850)

solve for ‘n’ and get 11 with a remainder of 11

so in order to have MORE than $850 in his account he would have to deposit $25

<<<12 times>>>
