Marketing Paper Question- Please Read?
I have a senior project for my marketing class that I need to begin, but I need some advice. I have a 15 page paper and presentation to do. I am supposed to identify a new initiative, need, situation, issue, or problem that exists in marketing. Does anyone have any ideas on a topic I can write on? Please let me know. This is very important. What are some issues that can be written about in-depth on marketing?

I believe Kellogg just stated that they will no longer market sugary cereal to children. Here is an article about it:

This would be really interesting because you could draw comparisons between this and the tobacco industry stopping marketing to children. It’s also a relevant and current topic, there will be lots of information about it, and your presentation could include passing out those tiny boxes of cereal with Tony the Tiger on it and asking your classmates who they think Tony is marketed to. I think it would be great.

Here’s one I deal with every day as a marketing professional: Traditional marketing (print, direct mail, TV) no longer impacts customers like it did in the past. How have companies been succesful using new non-traditional marketing programs (web based, events, novel placements)?
This would be an interesting paper and there are plenty of references.
