Can anyone give me solution for this problem?

In an Arithmetic Progression, if the sum of first 10 terms is 175 and the sum of the next 10 terms is 475, what will be the Arithmetic Progression?

Use the formula!

sum = n/2 (A + L) case 1: 175 = 5(a + l) ie a + l = 35

in case 2 : using the same formula a + l = 95

now we know that term n = a + (n – 1)d

I’ll be back to answer the rest, I need a rest. It is getting late here. and I’ve had a busy day.

(a+10b)+(a+11b)+(a+12b) + . . . +(a+19b) = 475

(a+ 0b) +(a+ 1b) +(a+ 2b) + . . . + (a+ 9b) = 175

Subtracting first equation from second gives

10*10b = 300: Therefore b= 3

Substituting back in to the second equation gives.

(a+0)+(a+1b)+(a+2b)+(a+3b) +. . .+ (a+9b) = 175

10a+45b = 175

10a=175-45b = 175-135 = 40

a=4

Progression = 4+7+10+13+16+…+61
