Black Death Essay?

I’ve been trying for the last two hours to come up with an acceptable introduction to my essay on the Black Death, but I’ve been drawing blanks. The essay topic is ” Was the Black Death a Crucial turning point in European History.”

“Was the Black Death a Crucial turning point in European History?”

Intro

(Indent, please) Start by stating whether or not you think the black death was a turning point, and then continue with whether it was crucial and why. That’s all you have to it. Intros are probably the easiest thing (my opinion) with essays b/c you just have to restate things and explain your veiws, while adding some facts to back it up.

I hope I helped, but I didn’t want to write it for you, b/c then you wouldn’t learn anything.

The reduction in population caused by the Black Death was indeed a crucial turning point in European history, as it made the available workforce so much smaller. How’s that?

Find out the percentage of people that died as a result of the Black Death and then extrapolate that into the modern world. have a list by country. A chart would do listing the US and some other countries. Population before the Black Death and then afterwards.

The black death ravaged Europe between 1347 – 1351,but it wasn`t for another 200 years that the formerly colourful and lavishly decorated venetion gondolas began to be painted black. Sorry dont have time to finnish this of but may have chance later…….

It seems that every plague has started or been carried by pests. Rats in particular were the carriers for the dreaded Black Death. It is strange to think that something that we can catch and kill could lead to the decimation of the world.

(hope this helps)
