My wager is you’re revolving around the y-axis extremely of the line x=6; x=6 is a vertical line the section we are revolving is going from y=0 to y=4 axis of revolution is vertical so we use the equation V = pi S [R(y)]^2 dy from 0 to 4 ; oir R(y) = the hollow between the line y=x and the axis of revolution x=6 = (6-y), [R(y)]^2=(6-y)(6-y)= y^2 -12y+36 ; so V = pi S (y^2 -12y +36) dy from 0 to 4 ; V=pi[(a million/3)y^3 -6y^2 +36y] (from 4 to 0) : 0will be 0 so V= pi [(a million/3)4^3 -6(4^2) +36(4)] = pi [ (sixty 4/3) +40 8] = pi[ sixty 4/3 + one hundred 40 4/3] = 208pi/3
