An appositive is a another way of saying the word beside it.

Like : My brother Bill ate an apple.

The cockroach, an insect, crawled under the bed.

Bill and “an insect” are appositives

An appositive is a noun-phrase that further describes the preceding noun. So in the sentences, you just need to come up with a phrase which acts as a noun that describes (portrait, clubhouse, tree, nose, bee).

The young artist painted the award winning portrait, a picture of his mother and father. (“a picture of his mother and father” is a noun phrase that further describes ‘portrait’, and therefore an appositive.)

Use the same principle for the remaining sentences.
