anyone good at history, help me with this project? please.?

i’m supposed to pretend i’m part of the lost people of roanoke. i’m to write a diary entry explaining what possibly happened to us. i chose to write we joined the indian tribe… what can i include to make it worth a page? also… how should the handwriting be? i don’t know if it matters but..

i’m doing it on paper that looks old…

any help?

Talk about the troubles the colony was having: people were sick, they were starving, they were fighting among themselves, etc. Talk about how the Indians seemed to be able to find clean water, plenty of game, etc. Maybe pretend that you made friends with someone in the tribe and they invited you to come and live with them.

As far as writing it goes, use cursive handwriting. Colonists didn’t print much.

Maybe tell a story about how one family decided to go and live with the natives and how they were doing so well, that more and more people decided to go do it and eventually there were only a few people left. That should also add a bit more text to it.

Cursive is definitely more accurate.

Day 1: Mommy, it’s soooo cold here and I’m hungry.

Day2: These red people eat such odd victuals and smear their bodies with bear grease to keep themselves warm.

Day 3: I’m getting used to eating possum and dead fish.

Day4: Blimey, those red women are lookin’ HAWT.

Day 5: I have had diarrhaea for 2 days now. and was just told that I’ve been wiping me bum wiff poison ivy.

Day 6: It hurts when I pee; the squaw looks at me funny now.
