what does it mean to solve for in terms of x?

Usually the algerbraic equation will have several terms in it such as x, y and z. If the solution is to be in terms of x, then the equation has to be rearranged such that x is on one side of the equation and all the other terms are on the other side, for example:
x = 2y+3z+14t
