(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=m —the numbers are subscripts

m=slope

(1.24-4.15)/(1+2) = -0.97

The equation of a line is Y = mX + b the place m is the slope and b is the y fee of the element the place the line crosses the y-axis. you realize that the slope is two, so replace m with 2 and you gets: Y = 2X + b the line passes for the time of the element (a million,2) so y=2 on each occasion x=a million you could replace x with a million and y with 2 and then resolve for b So now the equation looks like: 2 = 2(a million) + b which may well be simplified to: 2 = 2 + b Now subtract 2 from the two sides of the equation and get: 0 = b So now which you solved for m and b you could write the equation: Y = 2X + 0 or merely Y = 2X

4.15 divided by 1.24

Then

-2 divided by 1

Then divide the two answers (top divided by bottom)
