First get rid of the negative exponent for b, by moving that to the denominator. Then take that entire fraction and put it under 1 to remove the -2. Square the denominator (fraction) The answer should be:

(b^4) / (25 a^8 c^6)

Sorry, I didn’t see the -2 on the b in the original problem.

(5a^4b^-2c^3)^-2

are you missing something in that equation?

(5a^4+b^-2c^3)^-2 or perhaps (5a^4-b^-2c^3)^-2 ?

b.

[(24x^-2y^4)/(8xy^2)]^-3

again, I think you might have typed the problem incorrectly.

to what power is the x raised? if -2, then is y added or substract? If -2y^4, I think you are beyond simplifying the equation.

please proofread and repost.
