2 words. Dimensional Analysis.

ok. So 1 kg=1000 g.

1 g= 100 cg.

So you will put 81.6 kg= 1000 g/ 1 kg.

Multiply 81.6 x 1000 ( because if the number is on top you mulitply and divide if it is on bottom)

Now you have 81600 g= 100 cg/ 1 g

Multiply 81600x 100

And you get 8160000 cg.

That is the proper “chemistry” way to do it.

If you need a more basic term for math class just let me know.

Heres how it works: There are 1000 grams in one kg, right? Therefore, multiply 81.6 by 1000 and it gives you 81600 grams. Then, a gram is 100 centigrams. Therefore you multiply 81600 by 100 and it gives you 8160000, not 81600000. IM 100% SURE BECAUSE IM STUDYING THAT RIGHT NOW AND GOT 100 ON THE EXAM. CHECK THE ANSWER. I hope this helped you.

1 centigram is 100th of a gram or 100000th of a kilogram. so if somebody weighs 81.6 kilograms then they also weigh 8160000 centigrams (not 81600000 as you said)

You just move the decimal point. In the metric system everything is in tenths. Some Canadien or British citizens could answer this one well.

you have to move the decimal over to the right

KHDRCHM

81.6

SO TO GO FROM KG. TO CG. YOU MUST MOVE THE DECIMAL OVER 4 PLACES TO THE RIGHT SO YOU WOULD GET

816000

NOT 81600000
