The legislative branch having two bodies that must agree on a new law is good because it keeps down the probability of unwise laws being passed. The best way to improve it would be to not allow lobbyist direct contact with any legislator only a screening aide that keeps down the likely hood of special interest having more influence than the constituency. The executive branch provides for a swift response to attacks because of the commander and chief responsibility and line of succession. This branch may improve if the entire cabinet from the prior administration would be required to remain on the job for a specific period of time when the new administration is sworn in. This transition time would clarify priority’s and establish both continuity and accountability. The Judaical branch having an outstanding hierarchy’s of courts leading from the local all the way to the supreme court give multiple appeals and opportunity to prove ones point. This system is proving to be too often political and socially polluted and the best way to change it is to stop allowing elected politicians appoint judges. We should have judges in the federal system picked from nominees by a panel of retired federal judges and reviewed on regular cycles this review should be to evaluate the constitutional and legal precedents of the judges rulings. We are a nation of laws and the farther we stray from the consititution for political correctness or political or economic favoritism the less respect we will see for our nation and way of life.
