If my parents had never done that I’d probably be closer to them than I am … wouldn’t hold a subconscious grudge against them for the abuse they did to me as a child.

I’d be more trusting of people.

I would not be as afraid to have children of my own because I fear that I will, in turn, abuse my children.

I probably wouldn’t be as “submissive” as I am.

I wouldn’t have as much repressed anger as I do.

Heck… I might be a better person. (Then again – I might be a total @$$hole and my folks were doing me a favor.)

I was not that bad of a child that I pushed them to physical punishment. just getting mad at me would push me over the edge.

however, due to the fact that I had such a “nice” upbringing, it puts me in a weird state to know that I am actually aggressive to others. which then makes them think I am wishy washy and they tend to push me aside thinking I am not worthy of any entitlement.

during my growning years I had many friends but I was never taken seriously because I was so nice.

as today I am still considered kind of a flake.

however, s&m does interest me.
