Yes,you can,but you have to be very self-motivated.

take it from me, if your mom works full time she will not be able to homeschool you. I started homeschooling my son this year and our family’s financial situation changed and I had to go back to work. I’m putting him back in school starting Monday because it’s too hard to homeschool and work. Even if you are self motivated (which my son ISN’T) she still has to plan your lessons, grade them, research homeschool laws for your state, keep accurate records. Please don’t do this to your poor mother. She’s got enough on her plate. Can’t you just ask the school to change your locker? Or just carry your books and supplies in a backpack and don’t use your locker this year if it’s causing you problems.

If she is willing, then yes, you can be homeschooled even with her working 8 hours a day. Many people I know who homeschool their teenagers provide them with specific lesson plans and assignments to be done while the parent is at work during the day and then check their work and help with any questions that they have in the evenings.

If you can access a computerized home school program such as iCOT you might be able to be homeschooled.
