No, that is not true. FAFSA determines your level of need and how much money the government is willing to give you for education based on that need. You may get $9000 and school may only be $7000. Therefore, you have $2000 with which to get educational supplies above the cost of tuition. You can do the same with college loans. Don’t abuse the system.
