Although…. if you really do die, the good news is you don’t have to pay your student loan back, but you will still have to pay taxes that year. If you fake your death, you will still have to pay taxes and your student loan – and you will still die.

Why fake your death. Stop it! it is all a **** before God. Why did you get the loan for? You must be educated. Just believe God for a job and start paying your debt faithfully without having to hide. Even if you are still not in a job, tell the truth to the authorities where you are to make the payments and when due time comes you will pay. You can’t be jailed for telling the truth or even being without the capacity to pay. Be yourself. Why should you avoid the fact that you are in debt and live without peace of mind? You must pay what belongs to others. DON’T FAKE DEATH, DEATH MUST COME TO YOU ONE TIME. NOT NOW, PAY YOUR DEBTS IF YOU CAN RIGHT AWAY IF NOT LATER. Good luck.

Good luck with the plan. It wont work. However, if you were to really die, your stafford loans are canceled. They do not go after your family. The loans are only in YOUR name, no one else.

Alternative loans are another matter, especially if you have a cosigner.

If they believe you are dead. When they find out you are alive though, you may have to pay your student loan from prison.

I know that debt can be a burden, but talk to your lender if you are having issues. It is the safest and most legal thing to do. If you can’t find resolution and are really having payment issues, try a debt counseling company. They can be very helpful.

Be responsible. Get a job and pay the bill.Trying to fake your death will only cost you more money when you are arrested for fraud.

As with any drastic illegal action, you must first consider the risk, the hassle, and the benefit. How much are your loans? Is it worth the risk and hassle of assuming a new identity?
