Don’t mind the spam-bots, every time someone types in the word “Loan” in a question, the computers go nuts. I think they are automated computers, just keep reporting them. Hopefully they will go away.

Anyway it sounds like you’ve had your loan discharged, you will get a letter saying you don’t have to pay, but the discharge is “conditional”. Keep this letter. You never said what they were doing “to be after you” but once your loan is conditionally discharged you don’t have to pay on it. Your loan will still be in existence and you may still get paperwork on it, but after three years has passed your loan company will review your earnings. To make sure you are still disabled. If you meet certain requirements (earn less than a certain amount, I believe) your loan will be fully discharged. Keep all paperwork you receive on it and respond promptly to any requests – esp if they are asking you for payment. Remind them it was discharged.

I say this because occasionally people have a loan discharged and not realize they had more than one… and have THAT particular creditor calling you as well.
