For your information, last week me and few other friends sent out our application for sponsorship. It’s actually for our next theater show (we’re in performing arts club). We decided to get some money from other source instead of using our club’s money. We went to many places, such as shops or publishing companies. I told them that we went there before and we had their service/bought many items from them for our previous theater show.

Don’ t expect too much from the person you ask for a sponsorship, thinking they will agree to sponsor you. Just see them personally, explain and give them the document/short summary/ about your event. And tell them that you will make a follow up about it after 1 or 2 weeks.

If they agree, they might want to sponsor you in financial matter or give you any items. Example if you ask sponsorship from a florist, they might agree to sponsor flower arrangement for your event. Or if you ask from a restaurant, they might want to sponsor some food or drinks.

Benefits to them? You can say you will invite them to your event, or recommend them to other people for their good service (which is really good for their bussines).

If it’s company event, just say that your company is interested to buy/have their service and will continue to buy/have their item/service.
