They badger you and send the account to a collections company. They call you at all hours, visit your home and drop by your work. They contact your relatives and your employer. They may write off the debt as a charge off. Now try to buy a car or a house. With no credit you are ruined.

They lose their house and everything that they own, and then they can only make a certain amount of money for a while, and they cant get credit cards for a while because they have no credit.

What country are you folks from?
Loss of everything, cut in wages, prison… over “Revolving Credit”?
They sue, and if you have nothing, then they can’t collect even if they win the suit.
If FRAUD can be proven, then the possibility of prison/jail time does exist.
But of course, I’m no expert… 🙂

They are sued by the issuing banks and if they cannot pay, even a portion of the dollar amount, probably should claim bankruptcy.
