My advice to you is to go through sallie mae. I wish I would have known that when I started school. The interest rate is fixed and very low… right now around 4.6% and they do not compound interest while in school and you have a 9 month grace period after you graduate or you fall below full-time status.

Disbursement is the same for all loans, roughly around 10-15 days after you are approved. Namely its your school wanting to wait to give you the money you borrowed because they are miserable and want to make as much money as they can off you.

Go with sallie mae. Its the fastest to call them and get approval over the phone, its immediate and you should have the money you need within 2 weeks or less.

But if your uncle is rich…. hit him up. Student loans are NOOOO fun. and im sure he will give you a good interest rate ; )
