Cosmotology is a hard field to get in to and actually make money. Every girl in the U.S. wants to be a cosmotologist sometime in their life. Its not an expanding field either. I would suggest another field that interests you. Something with a little more financial security like OBGYN, or something in business. I mention OBGYN because it’s a growing field for females and you can opena private practice and business is a growing field for females also. Everyday more and more females get chosen over males for business because females actually try to do their job to their best abilities and males cut corners to make things easier.

If you are worried whether or not you will like the job, then it might not be the best thing to go in to. The uncertainty you have is your brain telling you this is probably not a good idea. If your heart is truely set on it, then do some research on the internet of people who acutally are cosmotologists and get their insight on the career.

Again though, I would recommend a career that better suits what your brain is telling you.

Go to a salon and see if you will enjoy doing what the other cosmetologists are doing, ask them questions, maybe try doing hairstyles on your friends, etc.
