Ideas please for a student from Kazakhstan who needs to raise money to attend college/university in the US.?

I tutor an international student who had been in TX last year as a high school exchange student. When she returned home in the summer the government there was mad at her for having come to the US and blacklisted her from higher education as well as threatening her mother’s job. The family raised the money to fly her back to TX where she lives with the same host family and has started taking Community College classes. Her parents work, but their wages convert into very few US $s.

How can she raise money?

Is there any way out of the high International Student tuition rates?

Thank you.

Get in touch with your local newspaper and TV stations. TV stations and newspapers typically have a department that deal with “goodwill” cases. I had a friend in high school from the former Yugoslavia who was in a different situation but also wanted to go to school in the US. An article was written about him and he received offers from several people and schools to assist him with college.

this isnt true, this simply isnt if you truly hate them , just leave them alone. getting revenge will just hurt more Lexi: I have a job. ‘A bit short’ was an exaggeration, I’d just like some more and want to get back at my parents. My parents wouldn’t know I wasn’t perfect, they were never around to find. I, however, know they were far from perfect. the comment above, no parents are perfect, and im giessing this is just some overpriiviliged kid bored or a sselfish spoiled brat, but i have friends, whose lifes are so mucked up that it will affect them for there lives, and their parents are too depressed to help. ive never heard one of them talk about sueing
