I was looking through my Financial Aid Online, and saw that I had $2000 for “College Work Study Program…”
Does anyone know what this might be? It’s $1000 per semester.
I do have an on-campus job here, so I’m assuming it has something to do with that. Thanks!

Yeah, it should be $1000 per semester. And work study is awesome because it doesn’t count against you on next years FAFSA as income!

you have to talk with your school’s human resources office to make sure your job is couting as workstudy. my college has jobs that are both wrokstudy and aren’t. if your job is workstudy, you are allowed to work until you’ve earned $1000, each semester. the money is pretty much like a regular job, but it’s takne off of your tuition bill. check to see if your school has a restriction. i know mine does. here we can only get $500/ semester.

that means that you can only work up to a certain number of hours equaling $1000. if you work for more money than that, then you’ll have to pay some of it back.
