I need a student loan very soon. I start school in 10 days.?

I did FAFSA but only got $1,250 a semester for a loan threw them . I got declined the salliemae loan. But I had my mom as a cosigner and she has bad credit do you think I would have been better off without having her on there?..Also what are some loans you think are good. Im only 17 and my parents will not cosign at all. I need to take like friggin $5,000 out now. I don’t know what else to do. This needs to be a fast one because I still need a book for school.

Try a private student loan at a couple places other than Sallie Mae, I’d apply without a co-signor and see if you can get approved, if they decline you then see if your mom will co-sign, even with bad credit, it may work with private lenders. The rates may not be as good as goign through Sallie, but they can get it to you within 7-10 business days.

Try Chase Bank, you can apply online this weekend and they will call you with an answer on Monday.

Also try http://www.StudentLoanAdvisors.com they will also call you back on monday if you apply this weekend.

Have all of your information ready for the calls on Monday including any co-signor you can find…it can be anyone not just your mom. (adult brother, sister, aunt, uncle)

Students who are looking for a bad credit student loan should pick three schools they are most interested in, talk to the admissions office, and ask what is needed to apply in their school.A bad creditdepending on whether you are a homeowner or not. The rate of interest to be paid on unsecured bad credit student loans is higher than that on secured bad credit student loans. This is because the secured bad credit student loans are backed by your home as a security.

Sallie Mae will give a loan to practically anyone, and you can defer the payments until after you graduate….you get a check within like 10 business days
