Also see if a family member can spring for a week or so in a nearby motel… do all that desperate thinking you can! But don’t lose hope. The school wants your attendance as much as you want to go there.
1. Contact the office of student engagement/activities and ask for a senior mentor. When you get this mentor, ask if they know any seniors who are looking for roommates.
2. Post an ad in the college paper (it should be free or around $5) that you are looking for an apartment and state your price range.
3. Look around in the immediate area of your school. There should be some apartments available and MOST will give you a discount because you’re a college student.
4. Check out rent.com. There might be some apartments there and if you do rent one from there, Rent.com will send you $100 for using their service.
*Remember to cancel your meal plan since you don’t live on campus anymore. Mean plans are pointless if you live off campus. They are also really expensive.*
