How can we survive with four more years of school on gov’t funding?
Anyone know what welfare things there are we can apply for other than food stamps medicade and housing? Anyone made it without so many student loans? Our plan is for my husband to go to school full time, me work 15-20 hours/wk in a place where my baby can be, and then depend on the grants and other government things. Anyone doing that ? What other government things can I tap into?

Has he applied for private grants (thru the school and other places)..what about scholarships. There isn’t much he can do if he’s getting pell but loans. He may have to work FT and go to school PT.. A lot of people (me) do/did that. I am student loaned up to my ears and still have 2 years to go. The govt pushes get an education but then doesn’t do a lot to help. GL

You sound like a very strong woman. Keep on working hard!! But for giving you an answer, I don’t think theres any other help you can get form the government.

I don’t think you can survive on gov’t funding. Your husband will probably need to work part-time while he attends school full-time. It can be done. Good Luck!
