Go to the financial aid office at your school, let them know you are in real danger of being forced to withdraw. Make a strong case explaining the extraneous circumstance involved, but leave something in the tank (they may deny your appeal the first time, so save something to appeal about, make every appeal different; in other words, assume they will deny your first appeal and keep some ammunition for later).

Your school probably has provisions for small emergency loans. If you are getting a Pell grant, they may throw some federal supplemental money your way and switch your loans to Perkins instead of Stafford. You may also get by with books (ask if your school has a voucher program).

There are many student loan lenders. Before you go for one check the rate of interest and also see that the lender is a legitimate one.

Don’t pay any money to get the laon. You can also try for some scholarship online.
