I want to go to NYC?
Ok, well I’m 13 in 8th grade, and I’m thinking about which school I would like to attend for college, because I want to be prepared. I first wanted to go to Stanford University, but now I really want to go to NYU. What are the requirements to get in? And how I can I achieve them by starting young?

BRAVO for thinking and planning ahead! Even if you change your mind during the next few years, your preparation will still be an asset.
First, let me point out that going to school at an out-of-your-homestate school is much more expensive than going to the best college in you own school. So keep thinking of schools you are interested in. When you are sure of the degree you want, that will influence where you go to school.
For NYU:
Your ACT score should be 29-32
Your SAT score should be 1300-1450 (Math + Verbal)
Definitely in the top 10% of your graduating class, too.
