Fundraisers for a new school club?

My school just started this a new club affiliated with Invisible Children. After joining, I really want to get involved because not only do we have a great time, it’s for a great cause. The only thing is, it’s a new club and so we’ve been scavenging for fundraisers.

Any ideas? (It’d be great if you could list more than one!)

Road blocks always collect loads of cash, but you have to get a permit from the city, It’s not hard to get, just a pain. You can always go in pairs door to door. And then there is a raffle, you’ll want to check with your police dept. to make sure it’s legal, but it is in most places. What you do is get a few of the local business to donate a door prize and then sell raffle tickets or sell them at a silent auction, usually raffle tickets earn more. We get the florist to donate either gift baskets or gift certificates, they do really well, Chain stores are actually very good about donations for such activities. You can even ask local veterinarians to donate a spay or neuter, or some frontline or whatever they feel comfortable with. The possibilities are only as limited to your clubs imagination. Don’t forget local gas stations for a few gas cards! Good Luck, and what a great cause!

This is not short term, but it is something that you can do in conjunction with your other programs and there are no costs to get the thing set up and ready to go.

If you are looking at a long term solution or possibly starting right now to raise money on an ongoing basis, you might consider a lady who has an organization called Together We Can Change the World, Inc. She designed a website to specifically deal with all sorts of fund raising activities for both school, community and Non-Profits.

And, in the process of helping others you can earn some really good income for your organization, yourself and your family.
