Apply for financial assistance by completing the application on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. This application will allow you to be considered for grants from the feds, your state, and your institution, and low-interest loans that usually have better interest rate, fees, and repayment terms than what you can get through a private loan program. Plus these loans require no cosigner and no credit check. Have the FAFSA results sent to your school and then the financial aid office will determine the type and amount you are eligible to receive.

OK, it is hard to understand everything you’ve said with all the slang used in your question here….so I may not answer everything thoroughly.

Try going to the bank at which you have an account to find out what sort of school loans are available. Try other banks in your city to find out who can offer you the most.

More than likely, though, you will need your college to send the bank a formal letter and your schedule (to prove you are registered for classes in the fall). From what I have heard, the banks paid out during the first week of school, to ensure that students went classes and didn’t drop out with the money. They also paid the school directly, and not the person.

Try SalleiMae — they have a lot of options.

Hope that helps.
