I have a BA in Religious Studies and a BA in Religious Studies…spent 5 years going to school full time all year…and owe $48K for it.

I am working for a manufacturing firm making $38.5K a year, $20.00 an hour.

Often times companies don’t even care what degree you have, just that you have one.

I pay $335 a month for my school loans. I think it was worth it. It was more important to me to get an education in something I really cared about and had a passion for, over just getting an education to make more money. I would have hated to make a loan payment each month for an education and job I hated.

After searching for work, I find that I wouldn’t have made more if I had a degree in a field directly related to what I am doing now, so it didn’t matter in the end that I had two random degrees.
