I doubt you’ll find one that will help you pay child support, but loans can help you fund your education and expenses. The idea of borrowing does not sit well with some but the idea is that you’ll repay from the better money you receive when you have an education. Try your local workforce development office or Dept. of Labor; they often have resources for parents wishing to return to school. Also talk to your financial aid counselor and see if you have a Fatherhood Initiative (or similar) program. It’s sponsored by several vo-tech fields and the state and offer training and funds to eligible fathers/parents. You can also look into apprenticeship fields (electrician, carpentry, welding, etc) and see if you can join. Starting pay is great and you go to school evenings and have employment by day. Your Dept. of Labor should have info, but if not call your local Goodwill store and ask about their educational programs for adults.

An idea is to apply for jobs on campus through their employment page. It will provide both a job and benefits as long as it is full time or close to it, but it depends on the individual college itself. A number of places include some help with the college tuition. When you apply for FAFSA they take into consideration the fact that you pay child support when they make the calculations. So you might have a slight advantage for that. Work hard.
