Anyone knowledgeable about the federal government’s SMART grant?
Favorite Answer
You should see about talking to a higher up in the financial aid office (a senior counselor, assistant director, or director) regarding the SMART – maybe you talked to a new financial aid officer who isn’t familiar with the program for some reason. The ACG and SMART grants are still fairly new federal programs (new for the 0607 school year). Good luck!
It is important to find out more information online about this loan so that you can submit your application for this grant. In order to be qualified for this grant, you must complete a FAFSA form, be a U.S. citizen, a recepient or eligible for the Pell Grant, a full-time student, a third or fourth year student, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and have declared a major in an eligible field.
