once upon a time before i saw the guiding light All my children were young and restless. Those were the days of our lives. We had so many passions like running and jumping. It was Bold and beautiful. But now i’m at the general hospital and i think of the saying my children have told me: we only have one life to live. So as the world turns I will say goodbye. I have no regrets in life.

As The World Turns I often wonder what could have been. All My Children seem to pick up on this scattered mess of a mind I have. But I envy each and everyone of them because they are so Bold and Beautiful. I remember when I was Young and Restless all I was looking for was a Guiding Light. But it is all a fading memory and I now realize I only have One Life To Live.

Another beautiful day and As The World Turns, I watch All My Children as they get ready for the routine that The Days Of Our Lives consist of for now. Little do they realize that we only have One life to live, and the Passions of today that mean more to us while we are Bold and Beautiful will fade away when we are no longer among The Young and The Restless. If we are fortunate and live long fruitful lives, as we follow The Guiding Light to meet the creator, our days will end in comfort, while blissfully sedated at a General Hospital surrounded by those we love and who love us in return.

“I remember that day I first saw Madeleine, and fell in love with her” my Uncle Horatio said. “As the world turns, it was 50 years ago to the day. “She was bold and beautiful and we were both young and restless–well, perhaps not so young in my case.. We both gave in to our passions, I fear. I soon learned that she had an ungovernable temper. What had begun as a heated affair began to cool that day we were arguing over which movie to see that night–and she threw a turnip at me that bonked me right in the skull. I ended up in General Hospital I can tell you! I spoke to a psychologist on staff while I was mending there, about my tempestuous French pastry, and

he advised me to leave her. I asked crossly if he always told his patients to run away from danger. “Not all my children are in as much danger as you are!” he reminded me. “But if you have one life to live and only one–you either have to cure this woman of throwing things, develop a much harder head–or else learn how to duck with far greater more agility!” I knew deep down that he was right and when I had mended, I broke off the affair. I tell you, if I hadn’t had him a a guiding light, my search for tomorrow and a clear horizon might have been ended by a well-aimed aubergine! However, Madeleine was so beautiful, I sometimes wonder if I shouldn’t have risked it anyhow! Of course, if I had stayed with her, my life would have been another world entirely…”.

STUCK IN PODUNK

My twin brother, Joe, and I were at that young and restless age where we longed for adventure, and couldn’t imagine spending all the days of our lives stuck in the town of Podunk. We needed to go somewhere. Anywhere! After all, we only had one life to live!

We decided that summer, between high school and college, that we’d like to backpack around Europe. We kind of hated leaving dad. He had always been our guiding light. Would we be lost without his wisdom and strength? Dad was fearless and enjoyed sky diving as a hobby. Mom, a plus-size model for “Victoria‘s Big Secret,“ was away in New York City doing a fashion shoot. We always referred to them as, “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

We told dad of our plans for the summer. He said, “Out of all my children, I’ll miss you the most.” That was his little joke–of course, it was just the two of us.

We jumped in our car, and took off for the travel agency to make plans. Suddenly, a black cat ran across the road in front of us. Joe was driving, and as he swerved to avoid it, the car rolled down an embankment into the Passions River. Who knew we’d end up spending our summer vacation in traction at General Hospital?

The closest we got to being world travelers was watching “As the World Turns” on TV from our hospital beds. Dr. Hughes told us we’d be out just in time to start the Fall semester at Podunk Community College.

I was just minding my own business when my young son asked me what *Passions* are. Mindful of his age and innocence, I answered, “*All My Children* are passionate about something. Who and what do you love most? That will answer your question.” Being *Young and Restless* he insisted I answer instead of thinking for himself. I said, “You only have *One Life To Live* son – wouldn’t you rather think of your own answer?” He replied somewhat testily, “No! Can’t you be my *Guiding Light*?” Such is one of the *Days Of Our Lives*. *As The World Turns* and they get older, the memories they create (ahhh, the questions they ask) only grow more *Bold and Beautiful* in my mind.

I have 12 of them due to my (line) PASSIONS. *sighs* What can i say, I only have (line) ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and I was (line) THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. It’s what happens when you’re (line) THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. (line) AS THE WORLD TURNS i pray that the (line) GUIDING LIGHT will be with them and me all the (line) DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

“As My Stomach Churns”

Miss Kitty sat on the bank of Crawley’s Creek, aimlessly throwing pebbles in the cool, clear water.

“The @ passions of my youth have given way to the migraines of my middle….uhhhh…… late youth. My migraine…… In the form of Sunshine MacGillicutty….. Dear GOD, how I despise that hillbilly!” She started pelting the water like a rapid firing Gatling gun. “Hate her! Hate her! Hate her!”

She stood up and was brushing off her skirt when she heard a noise. She crouched down.

U.S.Marshal Matt Dillon and Sunshine were coming through the woods on the other side of the creek. Kitty hid behind some large rocks.

Matt:” You make me feel @Young And Restless, Sunny.” He smiled and kissed her cheek .”

Kitty( to herself) “Ohhhhh Matt, darling….I’M the one who really loves you.”

Sunshine: ” You make ME feel @Bold And Beautiful, baby.”

She kissed Matt, full on the lips.

Kitty( to herself) “You brazen ***** !” She watched as Matt reacted to her ardor. He grabbed Sunshine and kissed her passionately.

Kitty swallowed her vomit. ” @ One Life To Live and she had to choose Dodge!” she moaned to herself. Kitty wanted to leave but for some torturous reason, she remained.

Matt lay on the ground and motioned for Sunshine to join him…..” I want @ All My Children to look like you, sweetheart.” He played with her curls.

Kitty wretched.

Sunshine:”Oh my gosh…..What was THAT?!” Matt was too lost in rapturous thoughts to even look around.

Matt:”Don’t know…….Probably some old moose dying or something. ”

Kitty stood up and screeched, ” HAVE YOU NO SENSE OF DECENCY??! Cavorting like this in the woods….In BROAD daylight!!”

She startled Matt out of his daydreaming and scared the hell out of Sunshine.

Kitty:” Matt Dillon!!! As my stomach churns……..What motivates you to behave in such a fashion?!”

Matt smiled and looked at Sunshine……….

“The @ Guiding Light of my life is my lady……..My darling ,darling Sunshine.”

And with that, he cradled her in his arms and nuzzled her neck.

Kitty stared in bewiderment…….”Good GAWD!! I need a drink.”
