Why is the “s-word” considered more offensive than the word “crap”?
After all, both words mean the same thing!

craps is also another word for that casino game so people use it freely. it doesn’t get censored on tv because of this. sh** on the other hand, stands alone. same for f*** and sex. same applies to a** and bi**h, sometimes they would get censored on the air but rarely. most tv shows at night use them alot. a**hole on the other hand doesn’t have a double meaning, so that’s censored.
that doesn’t explain why people are more accepting of “frick” but you’ll rarely ever hear that on tv. elliot from scrubs said that but it was funny and cute how she said it. people will complain and get offended by the world f*gg** so that’s not gonna slide. stupid is still good.

“crap” is a word derived from the inventor of the flushing toilet, Thomas Crapper, so it passed into the language as a genteel description of the function preceding the use of his device.

Cause people are stupid, and they have nothing better to do then to place value on letter groupings.
****, crap, ****, ***, butt. It doesn’t make a difference. People are just moronic sometimes.
