Why is the online Japanese words always a bunch of question marks?

But if you want to type things in Japanese you will need some extra software. You will need to go to the Microsoft website and download something called Microsoft IME. Then you will need to go to your Control Panel and add the keyboard for Japanese language. Then you will be able to input Japanese characters with your computer.

You need Japanese fonts in your system in order to view Japanese characters (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji) properly.
When you access the Japanese page and see errors like in the table found in the link below, it means the Japanese fonts are not installed in your system. You need to install Japanese fonts.
