Well the rainbow is a symbol of gay pride as Kristen states, but it went through a process to symbolize that. Rainbows are a symbol of peace, love and happiness (remember the hippies), thus being happy is another word for gay. Being gay is referred as being homosexual. So cut down all the connections. (Rainbows = homosexuals). Now remember the rainbow was a creation of God “A promise that he would never flood the earth as he did again”. Referring the rainbow with homosexuality stands and argument for homosexuality to be a creation of God. Leading a fight for equal rights and letting everyone know that they are a creation of God just like everyone else. That is the most known symbol for the rainbow today; however it does have other meanings for others.

Now the “DAY” thing you got me on that one.

Hang on there, folks! Rainbows aren’t just a gay symbol. They are also a symbol for someone (a Christian) who has taken part in a cursillo or cursillo-type experience, such as a Great Banquet, Walk to Emmaus, Via de Christo, Chrysalis or Awakening. It is the most awesome experience one could ever have.

De colores to anyone who understands what it means. 🙂

Rainbows are a symbol for gay pride. Not to say all rainbow stuff means gay, but it is interpreted like that. And I am not to sure about the day thing.

advantageous women do not examine impolite bumper stickers. human beings in the middle merely won’t be in a position to even see the bumpers, so they on no account difficulty interpreting them. Oh, and wide-spread women positioned on tinfoil hats…it incredibly is why they are nonetheless wide-spread.

I always thought a rainbow was a sign of hope.

The “gay” in Kristen’s answer I’ve never heard before.

(not saying it’s wrong…but)
