Thankyou is not a word. Thank you is. By using Thankyou, it makes you look uneducated.

Really, what you should say is ” I thank you”, but it shortened to “thank you”, and then “thankyou”, which is not a proper word. Just try “thankyou” on the spellchecker, it changes it to “thank you”

if you are grammatically unsound, then you write “thankyou” but if you know grammar, then you write “thank you” or “thanking you, yours sincerely….” and so on. its improper to write thankyou
